I spent the last 10 days in the Capital City of Canada, among friends and family. My oldest and best friend of nearly 20 years was getting married! I’m grateful for the occasion; Not only was I able to be a part of my dear friend’s potentially most important day, it was a great opportunity to reconnect and revisit memory lane. Literally.
We rediscovered the neighbourhood where we once lived, as we acknowledged and embraced the changes. We climbed the brick wall that separates the street from our old housing projects, like we so often did as children. This wall now stood stronger than ever. We walked the ground of our elementary school, where little did we know then, our lives would intertwined.
It made me realized how much I’ve missed them, these amazing people whom I’ve shared my childhood with. I forgot how extremely warm and comforting it felt, how we can laugh so hard over the silliest things, how we just instantly clicked, as if time has not passed.
This is home, and it saddened me to leave.
I’ve also met so many new and wonderful personalities; some really great friendship that I absolutely cherish.
In no particular order:
Ket & Vic : You girls rock! I can only imagine all the fun we could have, and trouble we could get into.
Anh Huy and Phuong: It’s sad how little we see each other; we have got to do something about that. AH: Hope you move to Surrey. P: You’ll always be our baby sister.
Rick: I will miss your cooking anh hai(brother), as well as your knowledge and expertise in expensive wine. Thanks for spoiling me.
Jason & JC: I could dance the night away with you two energetic boys.
Chris: Thanks for the traditional French-kissing lesson hon. You have a killer fashion sense, and serious booty shaking skills!
You guys definitely open my eyes to a different world. I wish I could pack you all up and bring you home!
The Anh (Kenny): Careful with those dangerously seductive eyes em. Thanks for the laughs and a super fun time!
Kim & Prabhul: You guys are the best!!Chi Kim, be nice to anh hai(brother) will you?!
Trinh: You seriously have not aged. Can’t wait to see you in Van babe!
Wes, Blake, Mridul: You guys are hilarious and so much fun to be around, after a few shot of Havana Club anyway(Blake). lol
